Saturday

Today is the day I was born…49 years ago, in 1963. The #1 song on March 31, 1963 was “He's So Fine” by The Chiffons written by Ronnie Mack. The 1962 New York City newspaper strike ends after 114 days. The temperature was approximately 62°F when I arrived…nice day! Today it is a cloudy day 34°F and light snow…not such a nice day! Wonder if it has any correlation to the fact I am almost a century old. No!! I am not saying that anything to do with me has anything to do with the weather. I am talking about my view on the day.

I do not mind gray rainy days. The grass is looking greener; the trees are budding and developing their foliage. I haven’t seen the deer this morning, so they must have made a run for it at first light. I worry about them crossing the road. What I most appreciate about a gray day? The birds are quiet!!! What a blessing!! The row of huge pines viewed from my bedroom window houses many a critter. The stage often shows an active display of preening, circling and diving birds. The sound system is perfect…of course it is…God designed it!!! The common black birds like to cackle at the squirrels who love to chase each other through the branches chattering away at one another! Naturally, their antics rustle the big black birds on their perches and they love to screech at the little critters. The chipmunks will stay close to home when the birds are out…who can blame them, but they frequently check on one another, that sound bite is small. I cannot fault them. I too love my family and worry about their safety. I mean seriously, have you seen the size of those Turkey Vultures??? We have at least fifteen of them…at least!!! They are quite intimidating!!! I most enjoy watching the hawks though. They are majestic. We have Robins, Blue Jays, Humming Birds, Sparrows and the like…on a bright sunny day they all love to sing in a chorus of whistle while we work. None of them know the tune!!! However, they are all quiet in the rain. It is nice. All I hear is whoosh from the cars driving past the house.

Even the house is quiet. No worries, I checked on everyone when I went to get coffee. Dad was giving the cat a hard time or perhaps Graygory was giving Dad a hard time…Mom saved the cat. Corey was mumbling at his computer, someone in Maryland won the 640 million dollar lottery. I heard Rick discussing it with him. Mike left for work already. That leaves Starr and Castle. I am sure they are fine. So it is just me, Talis and Zeke. Zeke is warming himself on his rock and Talis is getting a drink of water. I am here with my thought. I am 49 years old. When Castle is my age I will be 98…oh mercy! I hope I am not still around! I have seen what it is like to be an Octogenarian! I do not want to be one. Yeah! Yeah!! I know everyone is different…this is my gene pool though…it cannot be that different!!!!!!!

Today is the day I was born. I pray that I am doing what Father Yahweh willed for me to do. I know that I have changed my attitude towards my mother. HalleluYah! I was worried there. The husband gets my entire wrath now and believe me you there is a lot of wrath where he is concerned. I know he had nowhere else to go, but he is not even trying to find a place now. Why do I have to support him? We are not living as man and wife. That is why I separated from him in the first place! I am not going to rehash all that. Let us just say I do not consider myself his wife. Separated too long we have been! If I filed for legal separation, I would be divorced by now! I know! I lament about the same old thing. Terrible be a procrastinator!

I need new material! Oh! I had a dream with, of all people, Jean Claude Van Damme in it. We were walking down a boarded walkway in Fire Island, as a couple. ???? Ahhh, my favorite actor is Keanu Reeves! Whatever!!! What was weird is I do not usually remember my dreams! I have had this same dream more than once…and remember it! I know a man, his name is Tim, he can wake from a dream and when he puts his head back on his pillow…pick up from where he left off. NOT FAIR!!!! Sincerely! It is so not just. He got in line twice and got my share of “Dream Memory”…selfish brat! Yes ! I truly believe that! I even made him promise that if he passes before me…he is to relinquish what is rightfully mine! Took some doing, but he finally agreed! Timothy!!! You best keep your word!!! I know…you pray I die first! Well, if you go first and I start remembering my dreams on a constant basis…no matter where you are on the planet, I will know you passed. Silly I know. I cannot even blame my dream memory lost on drugs, even as a child I did not remembered my dreams! I know my sister use to have full conversations with me while I was sleeping. I do not recall those conversations either. *Heavy sigh* Well, I get to sleep straight through the night seven to eight hours…no matter where I lay my head. I know many people who have trouble sleeping, I think I rather the trade off! I like my sleep. Dreams are to help you work out life’s problems…I truly do not have many problems. I have people!

My sister Christian, her name is June, was telling me about her medical condition. I pray for a healing for her. I now understand why her son is living with her. If he were not there, she could not stay in her own home. Adult protective services would see to that. I did not realize she was that bad…she drives and works! What an amazing woman! She reminds me of my sister Kathy. So many blessings, Father Yahweh truly does look out for His children. Praise Yahweh! Glory HalleluYah! Praise Yahushua! HalleluYah! Her son has turned back to God as well.

P R A I S E R E P O R T

Rusty is doing well; he has accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and has returned to Omaha. Corey has moved home. Rachel has found her special someone. Michael and Starr are still together and Castle is perfection. My parents are still alive and seem to be doing well. My prayers do get answered! Now I know I prayed for Rick’s salvation…who says I have to be the one who leads him there. I think after 30 years…and him still saying Jesus is a myth…I can stop casting pearls before swine and dust my feet.

Rude awakening!

Oh, yeah, right!

That's my place. I woke up this morning, invited Yahushua into my day, read The Berean blog I read every morning to start my day and then went for coffee. I have a wonderful son whom spoils me rotten, yes that is right, he had made a fresh pot of coffee and it was there waiting for me! Oh what a joyous, wondrous morning; Rapture!! That first sip tasted so good. I rub the sleep from my eyes; always from the outer edges of the eye to the inner,…I do not need to be assisting in the wrinkle field! I stepped back and fell to reality! Sooooooo, after closing the bread and putting it in the bread box, finding the cause of the fruit flies and cleaning that mess, putting away the dishes, washing the counters tops, washing out the microwave and doing more dishes, I found a spot for the new cooking utensils and opened a carving knife I bought last Sunday! I washed the kitchen table, found a pill my dad must of missed, and put a jar of pickles back in the fridge! While throwing the trash and recyclables away, I found some recyclable cans and bottles…I do not understand the younger generation! Everything is disposable! (YES!!! I sound like my parents…so smack me up side my head and sue me!) I can understand why the kitchen was in such disarray, my 84-year-old mother lives in there with the TV blasting. Dad places his order around noon and she jumps to fill it. She isn’t hungry yet, but she will be soon, so leaves everything out. Mayo, deli meat, cutting board with tomatoes…did I mention we have a fruit fly issue going on now? Hey! We consider ourselves lucky when she remembers to close the bread. I hate stale bread! I know I know…she is 84… and she has me. I had to work in Kingston yesterday though! Upon arriving home, and being informed that she had fed herself and my dad therefore I had to fend for myself, I just trudged upstairs and stayed there. FINE! I have to remind myself that these Octogenarians are kind enough to let us take care of them under their roof…we are their servants…sure we pay to live here…but we need to know our place! Apparently I have been put back into mine!

I sit and wonder about my life. I feel like I wasted so much, however I have accepted it is how it is supposed to be. Providence… I can relate to the Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can;and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful worldas it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things rightif I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with HimForever in the next.Amen. --Reinhold Niebuhr Trust in the LORD with all your heartand lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways acknowledge him,and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3, 5-6 I know I wouldn’t be who I am if it were not for my sister/bff Kat. She is an amazing woman. She did not have an easy life, no, growing up with our family it is a wonder we all turned out as well as we have. I am still trying to figure out what kind of a mother my mother’s mother was. What made my mother the way she it? I look at my siblings and all of us believe in God in one way or another. Jesus is our Lord and savior or in Kat’s case and mine, Yahushua is our Lord and Savior. What I cannot get over is how Kathy roamed all over Miami and then NYC unsupervised all her youth unscathed. No, it wasn’t until she came to Catskill and turned 13 that it hit the fan! Providence stepped in and she was chosen as a servant, friend, daughter…witness of Father Yahweh. I have heard so many of the miracles that she has had. The most amazing to me was the time she got of the bus leaving her handbag with a very large sum of money in it. She called me in a panic and we prayed and when the bus stopped on its returning round, the bus driver handed Kat her handbag, and everything was in its place untouched. Wait. No the most amazing would have been when the German Sheppard was making a mad dash for my niece, Bonnie, and Kathy called out to God and the dog stopped dead in his tracks and laid down. Praise Yahweh! Glory HalleluYah! God is good all the time!!! All the time God is good! There have been several prayers answered; those are the most amazing two! I don’t know if she mentions any more in her book, I am patiently awaiting my copy…you should all get your own copy! I know it is going to be sad, but I also know my sister has a great sense of humor and she isn’t afraid to use it!
