Oh, yeah, right!
That's my place. I woke up this morning, invited Yahushua into my day, read The Berean blog I read every morning to start my day and then went for coffee. I have a wonderful son whom spoils me rotten, yes that is right, he had made a fresh pot of coffee and it was there waiting for me! Oh what a joyous, wondrous morning; Rapture!! That first sip tasted so good. I rub the sleep from my eyes; always from the outer edges of the eye to the inner,…I do not need to be assisting in the wrinkle field! I stepped back and fell to reality! Sooooooo, after closing the bread and putting it in the bread box, finding the cause of the fruit flies and cleaning that mess, putting away the dishes, washing the counters tops, washing out the microwave and doing more dishes, I found a spot for the new cooking utensils and opened a carving knife I bought last Sunday! I washed the kitchen table, found a pill my dad must of missed, and put a jar of pickles back in the fridge! While throwing the trash and recyclables away, I found some recyclable cans and bottles…I do not understand the younger generation! Everything is disposable! (YES!!! I sound like my parents…so smack me up side my head and sue me!) I can understand why the kitchen was in such disarray, my 84-year-old mother lives in there with the TV blasting. Dad places his order around noon and she jumps to fill it. She isn’t hungry yet, but she will be soon, so leaves everything out. Mayo, deli meat, cutting board with tomatoes…did I mention we have a fruit fly issue going on now? Hey! We consider ourselves lucky when she remembers to close the bread. I hate stale bread! I know I know…she is 84… and she has me. I had to work in Kingston yesterday though! Upon arriving home, and being informed that she had fed herself and my dad therefore I had to fend for myself, I just trudged upstairs and stayed there. FINE! I have to remind myself that these Octogenarians are kind enough to let us take care of them under their roof…we are their servants…sure we pay to live here…but we need to know our place! Apparently I have been put back into mine!
I sit and wonder about my life. I feel like I wasted so much, however I have accepted it is how it is supposed to be. Providence… I can relate to the Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can;and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful worldas it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things rightif I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with HimForever in the next.Amen. --Reinhold Niebuhr Trust in the LORD with all your heartand lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways acknowledge him,and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3, 5-6 I know I wouldn’t be who I am if it were not for my sister/bff Kat. She is an amazing woman. She did not have an easy life, no, growing up with our family it is a wonder we all turned out as well as we have. I am still trying to figure out what kind of a mother my mother’s mother was. What made my mother the way she it? I look at my siblings and all of us believe in God in one way or another. Jesus is our Lord and savior or in Kat’s case and mine, Yahushua is our Lord and Savior. What I cannot get over is how Kathy roamed all over Miami and then NYC unsupervised all her youth unscathed. No, it wasn’t until she came to Catskill and turned 13 that it hit the fan! Providence stepped in and she was chosen as a servant, friend, daughter…witness of Father Yahweh. I have heard so many of the miracles that she has had. The most amazing to me was the time she got of the bus leaving her handbag with a very large sum of money in it. She called me in a panic and we prayed and when the bus stopped on its returning round, the bus driver handed Kat her handbag, and everything was in its place untouched. Wait. No the most amazing would have been when the German Sheppard was making a mad dash for my niece, Bonnie, and Kathy called out to God and the dog stopped dead in his tracks and laid down. Praise Yahweh! Glory HalleluYah! God is good all the time!!! All the time God is good! There have been several prayers answered; those are the most amazing two! I don’t know if she mentions any more in her book, I am patiently awaiting my copy…you should all get your own copy! I know it is going to be sad, but I also know my sister has a great sense of humor and she isn’t afraid to use it!
